Richard D. Black joined the Riney Packard  law firm in October 2022 as Of Counsel to the firm.   Mr. Black’s practice is focused primarily in oil and gas including acquisitions, divestures, and operational matters and agreements.  Prior to joining the firm, and beginning in April 2018 to October 2022, Mr. Black was a sole practitioner.   From November 2013 to April 2018, Mr. Black served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Fieldwood Energy LLC.   Beginning in July 1995 to November 2013, Mr. Black was an Assistant General Counsel at Apache Corporation. Prior to joining Apache, Mr. Black practiced law with Sneed, Lang, Adams and Barnett in Tulsa, Oklahoma (1990 to 1995) and with Short, Barnes, Wiggins, Margo and Adler in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (1987 to 1990).
